In the first quarter of 2023, Wirtualna Polska Holding S.A. increased its revenues by nearly 47% relative to 2022. The company has invested in the Samito system, which provides marketing automation solutions for online stores. The investment will enable the continued development of WP Ads, a self-service tool for managing advertising campaigns.
Wirtualna Polska Holding S.A.’s total sales revenues in Q1 2023 exceeded PLN 310 million. This is over 47% more than in the same period of the previous year. The company’s net profit exceeded PLN 16 million, while EBITDA was almost PLN 76 million, up by more than 12%.
"In the first quarter, our performance was driven very strongly by the tourism segment, which grew more than 160% year-on-year. But the entire holding is growing significantly due to the recent acquisitions. They have allowed us to diversify our revenues, to effectively exploit the opportunities of the e-commerce market, but also to develop the subscription model and advertising products" says Jacek Świderski, CEO of Wirtualna Polska Holding S.A.
Grupa WP’s most recent acquisition is the Samito marketing platform. It offers a range of solutions implemented on client sites, in particular a recommendation engine, abandoned cart recovery and email marketing. Access to the solution is provided through a subscription model. The investment primarily expanded the marketing capabilities offered to online stores. Among other things, it offered the opportunity to more effectively close transactions on store websites and increase customer retention. The Samito technology will become part of WP Ads, a self-service tool for managing advertising campaigns on the advertising space of WP and other publishers in the WPartner network. The distinguishing feature of WP Ads is the option of settlements based on the ROAS (Return On Ad Spend) model. The platform also offers a variety of advertising products such as mailing, banner and native campaigns with per-click-billing.

It owns the WP Home Page and operates specialized thematic websites such as money.pl, WP SportoweFakty or benchmark.pl and develops subscription services, among others through Audioteka and Patronite. In the e-commerce sector, WP is mainly present in tourism (among others, wakacje.pl, Szallas Group, nocowanie.pl) and consumer finance (superauto.pl and totalmoney.pl). According to a Mediapanel survey, 22.8 million Poles used WP’s online products in April 2023.
