Wirtualna Polska included in the mWIG40 index

Wirtualna Polska’s shares will be included in the mWIG40 mid-market index of the Warsaw Stock Exchange immediately following the 24 April 2018 session. In the mWIG40 index, WP Holding S.A. will replace Emperia.

The WP Group has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since May 2015. Already at the IPO, the interest among investors was soaring. Immediately after the start of the 7 May 2015 session, the price of WP’s stock increased 10% above the issue price. As part of its IPO, the company sold all available shares and raised funds for new investments, in particular in the e-commerce area. Wirtualna Polska’s IPO was one of the most successful such offerings in 2015.

The company’s business strategy assumes robust growth in revenues from the e-commerce market. WP’s is active in the clothing, tourism, interior design, financial services and healthcare sectors. The company owns such brands as wakacje.pl, nocowanie.pl and totalmoney.pl. The WP Group’s most recent equity market transaction was the acquisition of an additional 35% stake in the Domodi Group. As a result of the deal, WP increased its controlling stake in the acquired company to 86%.

Wirtualna Polska is a group of companies operating in the media and e-commerce sectors. The WP Group owns the Wirtualna Polska horizontal portal. It also operates the o2 portal and various specialized websites. According to the Gemius/PBI survey conducted in March 2018, the WP Group is the leader of daily performance among the media groups. It attracted 6.3 million real users who spent as much as 40 minutes per day on its websites.
